INITIAL CONFIRMATION

 

You have purchased a dog with no papers, no doubt through lack of information.

This situation may be the result of ignorance or negligence on the behalf of the breeder but it may also for more undesirable reasons that the vendor did not explain.

The puppies were illegally imported,

The puppies are the result of mixed race breeding,

The parents do not conform to the standard or were refused at confirmation,

The parents were non-pedigree.

It is not desirable to risk perpetuating unknown lines resulting in the eventual appearance of puppies which do not conform to the standard or have invalidating defects.

 

No serious breeder would ever take the risk of breeding from a dog of unknown origins.

 

In applying for a ' Livre des Origines Françaises des Race, issued by the SCC, the following conditions must be adhered to for an initial confirmation:

Allocation of "A" for hip x rays by the Commission de Dysplasie du Club de race,

Success in the Test d'Aptitudes Naturelles between 9 and 24 months,

Qualification of Excellent in the Nationale d'Elevage (1stweek-end of September),

Certificate confirming that the dog has no eye defects, from a vet accepted by the SCC.

The route will be long and onerous and the success uncertain.

 

Only dogs of an Exceptional quality obtain this Titre Initial

and a Livres des Origines Françaises number.
